Refund policy

Returns and Right of Withdrawal

33-day return policy

You may request a return within 33 calendar days of the day you receive your order.

This is our voluntary return policy. It is separate from, and does not limit, any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you. For EU consumers, the first 14 days are also covered by the statutory right of withdrawal described below.

To use the 33-day return policy, you must contact us within the 33-day period and send the item back in accordance with our return instructions.

EU right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may withdraw from an eligible online purchase without giving a reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 calendar days after the day you, or a person appointed by you other than the carrier, receives the goods. You may also exercise this right after placing the order and before it has been shipped.

To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send us a clear statement that you wish to withdraw before the 14-day period expires. You must then send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days after informing us of your decision.

Condition of returned items

Returns under our voluntary 33-day policy

To qualify for a refund under our voluntary return policy, the item must reach us in perfect, unused and resaleable condition. It must be:

  • unused, unworn, unmarked and unaltered

  • free from scratches, stains, odours, creases or other signs of handling or use

  • complete with all parts, accessories and protective components supplied with it

  • packed securely so that it is not damaged in transit

We may refuse a voluntary return if the item does not meet these conditions.

Returns under the EU right of withdrawal

You may handle an item only as far as necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, as you would reasonably do in a shop.

You are responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary for that inspection. Where permitted by law, we may deduct that reduction in value from the refund. If the item has been used, marked, damaged or otherwise reduced in value, the deduction may be substantial and, where the loss in value is complete, may equal the price of the item.

How to start a return or withdrawal

You can start a return through our website or email care@manuel-dreesmann.com with your order number.

Please state clearly whether you are:

  • requesting a return under our voluntary 33-day return policy, or

  • exercising your statutory right of withdrawal

You do not need to give a reason for withdrawing from an eligible purchase.

We will send you the return instructions. Approval is required for a return under our voluntary policy. No approval is required to exercise a statutory right of withdrawal, provided that you notify us within the applicable period.

Do not send a return cash on delivery or using a service that requires us to pay charges when it arrives.

Return shipping, customs and responsibility

Unless the item is defective, damaged on arrival or incorrect, you are responsible for arranging and paying the full cost of the return. This includes:

  • postage, packaging, tracking and insurance

  • carrier, brokerage and handling charges

  • customs duties, import taxes and any other charges connected with the return shipment

For returns sent from outside the European Union, you must complete the customs documents correctly, identify the shipment as returned merchandise and include the original order or invoice details where required. You must not declare an inaccurate value. Choose a service under which all return charges are paid by you.

We do not accept cash-on-delivery returns. If a carrier, customs authority or other party charges us in connection with your return, we may refuse the shipment or deduct the charge from your refund where permitted by law.

Use a tracked and adequately insured service and keep the shipping receipt and tracking information until the return has been completed. Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, the return remains your responsibility, including the risk of loss or damage, until it has been physically delivered to us. A shipping label, tracking record or proof of posting does not constitute delivery for returns made under our voluntary policy.

Defective, damaged or incorrect items

Inspect your order when it arrives. If an item is defective, damaged on arrival or incorrect, contact care@manuel-dreesmann.com promptly and before sending it back. Include your order number and clear photographs of the issue.

Where the item is defective, damaged on arrival or incorrect, we will provide the appropriate instructions and cover the reasonable return cost where required. This does not affect your legal rights.

Exceptions

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply where an exception under applicable law applies, including:

  • gift cards and other digital-value products, where the applicable conditions for loss of the withdrawal right have been met

  • goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised

  • made-to-order or limited-colour products only where they are produced to your individual specifications and are therefore covered by the legal exception

The voluntary 33-day return policy does not apply to gift cards, personalised products, or products identified before purchase as made to order, made to individual specifications or non-returnable.

If you are unsure whether an item is eligible, contact us before sending it back. Nothing in this section excludes a right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If your item is eligible, return it and place a new order for the replacement.

Refunds under our voluntary 33-day policy

We issue a refund only after the return has been physically delivered to us and inspected.

If the item meets all return conditions, we will refund the eligible purchase price to the original payment method. Original delivery charges are not refunded under the voluntary policy. Return postage, packaging, insurance, customs duties, taxes, brokerage, handling charges and other return costs are not refunded.

If the item does not reach us, is damaged in transit or is not returned in perfect, unused and resaleable condition, we may refuse the refund. Any charge incurred by us because of the return may be deducted from the refund where permitted by law.

Refunds under the EU right of withdrawal

If you validly exercise your EU right of withdrawal, we will refund all eligible payments received from you, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. If you selected a more expensive delivery method, the additional delivery cost is not refunded.

We will make the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days after the day we are informed of your decision to withdraw. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods or you provide evidence that you have sent them back, whichever occurs first.

The refund will be made to the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise. Return costs, including postage, packaging, insurance, customs duties, taxes, brokerage and handling charges, are not refunded unless the item is defective, damaged on arrival or incorrect, or applicable law requires otherwise.

Any lawful deduction for diminished value will be taken from the refund.

If you withdraw before the order has shipped, we will cancel the shipment where possible and refund the eligible payment to the original payment method.
